Scan & barcodes
The codes are static: the data is stored in the pattern itself, so they never expire, do not depend on a redirect service and do not track who scans them. Codes with a logo are checked automatically after generation, and you see a warning if the logo makes the code unreadable. The Bulk QR generator creates up to 500 codes from a list and packs them into a ZIP.
For products and inventory, the Barcode generator creates EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC-A, UPC-E, Code 128, Code 39 and ITF barcodes with check-digit validation. The QR code scanner and Barcode reader decode codes from an image or your camera without sending a single frame off your device.

Frequently asked questions
Do the QR codes expire?
No. The codes are static, so the link or text is encoded directly in the pattern. They work for as long as the content they point to exists. The flip side is that a printed code cannot be edited later; you would need to print a new one.
Should I download PNG or SVG?
Use SVG for print and design work, because it scales to any size without blurring. Use PNG for websites, documents and messaging apps that do not accept SVG. Download at a generous size if you plan to print a PNG.
Can I put a logo in the middle of a QR code?
Yes. The QR code with logo tool uses high error correction, clears the modules under the logo and then decodes the result again in your browser. If the code no longer scans, you see a warning so you can make the logo smaller.
Is the camera feed uploaded when I scan?
No. Frames are decoded in the page and are never stored or uploaded. The camera requires your permission and a secure connection. Scanned links are shown as text and only open when you choose to open them.
Which barcode types are supported?
The Barcode generator supports EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC-A, UPC-E, Code 128, Code 39 and ITF, and checks digits where the format requires one. Retail products generally need registered EAN or UPC numbers from GS1.
