QR code generator
QR Code Generator – Free Static QR Codes, PNG & SVG. No watermark added by QuickConvertOnline. Free, no account needed.
About QR code generator
This QR code generator turns a link, plain text, WiFi login, contact card, email, SMS, phone number, map location or calendar event into a scannable code. Pick the content type from the tabs, fill in the fields, and the preview updates as you type.
The codes are static: the content is written straight into the pattern, so QuickConvertOnline adds no redirect service, scan tracking or expiry date. A linked destination can still expire, redirect visitors or collect analytics. Everything is generated in your browser, and each code downloads as a PNG image or a scalable SVG file with no watermark.
How to use QR code generator
- Choose a content type from the tabs: URL, Text, WiFi, Email, Phone, SMS, Contact, Location or Event.
- Fill in the fields for that type; the preview updates as you type.
- Optionally change the foreground and background colors and the error correction level.
- Pick a PNG size and select Download PNG, or select Download SVG for a vector file.
Features
- Nine content types, each written in the standard format phone scanners recognize, such as WIFI:, mailto:, tel:, vCard and iCalendar.
- Four error correction levels: Low (7%), Medium (15%), Quartile (25%) and High (30%).
- Custom foreground and background colors, with a warning when contrast is low or the code is light on dark.
- PNG downloads at 512, 1024 or 2048 pixels square, or an SVG that scales to any size.
- Shows the QR version, module count and payload size in bytes, and lets you copy the exact encoded text.
- Static codes with no tracking, redirect or expiry.
Common uses
- Printing a link to your website or menu on flyers, posters and table cards.
- Letting guests join your WiFi without typing the password.
- Adding a contact code to a business card or name badge.
- Putting an event on attendees’ calendars straight from an invitation.
Tips
- Test the code with the phones your audience will use before printing a large batch.
- Keep the content short. Less data produces a less dense code that scans more easily from a distance.
Frequently asked questions
Do these QR codes expire?
The printed static pattern has no expiry controlled by QuickConvertOnline. Its destination can still change, expire or become unavailable. The encoded content cannot be edited after printing, so create a new code to change the payload.
What is error correction and which level should I choose?
Error correction adds redundant data so a code still scans when part of it is dirty, damaged or covered. Medium (15%) is the default and suits most uses. Choose High (30%) for codes with a logo or on rough surfaces; Low gives the smallest, least dense code.
Should I download PNG or SVG?
SVG is a vector file that stays sharp at any size, so it is best for print layouts and design software. PNG is a regular image that works everywhere, from documents to social posts. Choose the 2048 px PNG for large prints if SVG is not an option.
How much data can a QR code hold?
The QR standard tops out at about 2,950 bytes at Low error correction, and less at higher levels. Basic Latin characters take one byte, while accented letters, other scripts and emoji take two to four. If the content does not fit, the tool tells you to shorten it or lower error correction.
Can I track how many times my QR code is scanned?
No. Scan tracking needs a dynamic code that sends people through a redirect server. These codes point directly to your content, so no scan data is collected by anyone. For links, add UTM parameters and check visits in your own website analytics.
