Contact QR code
Contact QR Code Generator – vCard for Business Cards. No watermark added by QuickConvertOnline. Free, no account needed.
About Contact QR code
The contact QR code generator packs your details into a vCard, the standard format for electronic business cards. When someone scans it, their phone shows a new contact with your name, organization, phone number, email address and website, ready to save with one tap.
It saves people from typing your details off a printed card and avoids typos in email addresses and phone numbers. The vCard is built in your browser and stored inside the code, so there is no profile page or account behind it.
How to use Contact QR code
- Enter your full name, for example Jane Smith.
- Add your organization, phone number, email address and website, leaving out anything you do not want to share.
- Scan the preview to check how the contact appears on your phone.
- Download the code as PNG or SVG for your card, badge or email signature.
Features
- Creates a vCard 3.0 contact with name, organization, phone, email and website.
- Fills in both the display name and the structured name field from the full name you enter.
- Escapes commas, semicolons and line breaks so details with punctuation decode correctly.
- Needs only a name, phone or email; empty fields are left out of the code.
- Colors, error correction and PNG or SVG downloads like the other QR types.
Common uses
- Printing a scannable contact on business cards.
- Adding a code to a conference badge, booth sign or closing slide so people can save your details.
- Putting your contact details on a flyer, brochure or property sign.
Tips
- Enter the phone number in international format, such as +1 555 010 0000, so it works for contacts abroad.
- Every field adds data. Leave out fields you do not need to keep the code easy to scan on a small card.
Frequently asked questions
What happens when someone scans a contact QR code?
Their phone recognizes the vCard and shows a contact preview with your name, organization, phone, email and website. They can then save it to their address book with one tap, without typing anything.
Which vCard version does this create?
It creates vCard 3.0, a widely supported version that phones and common address book apps can import. The card contains the display name, structured name, organization, phone, email and website lines for the fields you filled in.
Can I add a photo, address or second phone number?
Not in this tool. It supports one name, organization, phone, email and website, which keeps the code compact enough for a business card. A photo in particular would make the code far too large to scan.
Can I update my details after printing?
No. The contact data is stored inside the code, so a new phone number or job means generating a new code. In return, the code works without any website or service staying online.
Why is my contact QR code so dense?
Each field adds characters to the vCard, and more data means more, smaller modules. Leave out optional fields, use a short website address, and choose Low or Medium error correction to keep the code readable at business card size.
