About Aspect ratio converter
The aspect ratio converter reshapes images to a new proportion, such as square 1:1, widescreen 16:9 or vertical 9:16. You decide how the image fits: Contain shows the whole picture and fills the empty space with a color or transparency, while Cover fills the frame completely and trims the overflowing edges from the center.
It helps when a platform, slideshow or layout needs every image in the same shape. Set the output size in pixels, choose a background and convert up to 20 images in one batch with the same settings. All processing stays in your browser.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between Contain and Cover?
Contain scales the image so all of it fits inside the new frame, leaving empty bars that are filled with your background color or transparency. Cover scales it so the frame is completely filled, cutting off whatever sticks out on the sides or top and bottom.
How do I change the aspect ratio without cropping?
Choose Contain. The full image is kept and padding is added to reach the new ratio. Pick a background color for the padding, or keep Transparent ticked and save as PNG or WebP for see-through bars.
How do I convert an image to 16:9?
Select 16:9 in the Aspect ratio menu; the height is calculated from the width you set. Choose Cover to fill the frame by trimming the image, or Contain to keep everything with bars. Common 16:9 sizes are 1280 × 720 and 1920 × 1080.
Which part of the image is kept with Cover?
Cover keeps the center of the image and trims equally from both sides or from the top and bottom. If the subject is off-center, crop the image manually with the image cropper instead.
