About SVG to PNG
The SVG to PNG converter turns vector SVG files into PNG images that can be used anywhere SVG is not accepted, such as social posts, office documents, email and many upload forms. Transparent backgrounds are kept, so logos and icons drop cleanly onto any color.
You can keep the SVG’s own size or set a new width and height in pixels, with the aspect ratio locked or unlocked, and quick 25%, 50% and 75% presets. Several SVGs can be converted together, and the whole process runs in your browser with nothing uploaded.
How to use SVG to PNG
- Drop one or more SVG files onto the upload box, or click Choose image.
- Keep PNG as the output format, or pick JPG or WebP if you need them.
- Enter a width or height in pixels; with Lock aspect ratio on, the other side updates automatically.
- Check the preview and click Download PNG, or Download ZIP for a batch.
Features
- PNG output with transparency preserved.
- Custom width and height up to 16,384 pixels per side and 40 megapixels in total.
- Aspect ratio lock plus 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% size shortcuts.
- Optional JPG, WebP or AVIF output instead of PNG.
- Batch conversion of up to 20 files with a ZIP download.
Common uses
- Turning an SVG logo into a PNG for social media profiles or slides.
- Exporting icons for apps or platforms that do not accept SVG.
- Creating a raster version of a vector illustration for email newsletters.
- Producing PNG previews of SVG graphics for documentation.
Tips
- The SVG is first drawn at its own built-in size. For the crispest large PNG, set a large width and height in the SVG file itself before converting.
- Choosing JPG replaces the transparent background with white.
Frequently asked questions
Will my PNG keep the transparent background of the SVG?
Yes. PNG supports transparency, so any area of the SVG without fill stays transparent. Only JPG output fills the background with white, because the JPG format cannot store transparency.
What size will the PNG be?
By default the PNG uses the width and height defined in the SVG. You can type any other size in pixels, up to 16,384 per side and 40 megapixels in total, or use the percentage buttons to shrink it.
Why do fonts or images look different in the PNG?
Browsers render SVG files as standalone images without loading external resources. Linked web fonts and external pictures are therefore not available, and system fonts are used instead. Convert text to outlines and embed images in the SVG to get an exact match.
Why does my enlarged PNG look soft?
The SVG is rendered at its own built-in size and then scaled to the dimensions you enter, so a big enlargement can soften edges. Increase the width and height attributes inside the SVG file, then convert again for a sharper large PNG.
Can I convert SVG to PNG online for free without signing up?
Yes. Use this tool without an account or payment. Files are processed in your browser. Download the result after processing; supported formats and browser requirements are described above. Conversion can change quality, transparency or layout depending on the formats.
